I have a Bachelor's degree in music performance from the University of Michigan, where I studied under Dr. Nancy Ambrose King, and a Master's degree at the University of North Texas, studying under Professor James Ryon, where I also serve as the oboe studio teaching fellow and was an English horn soloist on several Wind Symphony recordings. Previously, I studied with Ellen Menking of the Nashville Symphony.
I am the oboe professor at Collin College, and I teach oboe in Prosper and Frisco, where my students have been successful at solo and ensemble, competitive summer programs, and region and all state bands. During the summers, I regularly teach at the Bocal Majority camps. I often sub with local symphonies, and am a founding member of the reed trio Fenglírë.
